Please plan on calling or attending in person at TOMORROW NIGHT's City Council Meeting (5 pm Tues. 1/10/23, at 809 Center St.) to oppose, and demand the scaling-back of, Mayor Fred Keeley's proposed revision of the Downtown Plan Expansion project to replace four proposed 17 & 15-story towers with an UNLIMITED number of 12-story buildings in the South of Laurel area. Think of the monstrosity going up at the old Taco Bell site, but with an unlimited number of buildings TWICE as tall and massive, covering the whole South of Laurel area. That's what they are proposing. It is time for us all to speak up and let the City Council know that we do NOT want these massive developments.
