Don't let the City Council take away your ability to communicate about proposed building projects. The
current purposed objective standards state an appeal hearing is the only way to give input on a proposed project. It costs money to appeal. Here is an example of a public hearing benefiting a project:
"The Habit/Ikes complex public comments succeeded in securing several project changes through the public hearing process to better mitigate adverse impacts on the nearby neighborhood. These included better buffering, traffic management, and facility operations. The developers still were allowed to build basically what they proposed – the modifications did not materially affect their original concepts but resulted in better projects."
