Keep local control in Santa Cruz rather than the state. Developers that wish to build in Santa Cruz will add many more market-rate homes rather than do what the intent of the bill is to build affordable homes. Santa Cruz needs better bills written to incentivize affordable housing with many sources of funding to allow local people who have service jobs to stay in Santa Cruz. Write today. Do not delay.
