Due to COVID-19, Santa Clara University has decided to conduct Spring Quarter through online courses-- in the same fashion as Summer Quarter.

In light of this change, we ask that the tuition rates of Spring Quarter be reduced by 50% to $736 a unit to reflect the same cost as Summer tuition.

Since normal tuition rates usually go to cover campus facilities that the students will not be able to utilize during Spring, it does not make sense to pay the full rate.

We also ask the University to take into consideration that many students are already being placed at a financial disadvantage due to losing jobs, paying rent for off-campus leases they will not be able to live in due to online classes, and potentially losing financial support from a parent's job.
