As we all know, school has been canceled for the rest of the academic year due to COVID-19. Which means our 2020 seniors will not be able to have their graduation the way it should be. While we understand the health risk of this virus and not yet know when this will end, we hope to give these seniors the experience of walking across the stage and getting their diplomas. To experience the feeling of accomplishment and celebrate their achievement that they have worked so hard for the last 12-14 years. SAUSD has not announced any cancelations or any virtual graduation, but we should stand behind our seniors and postpone graduation.

Graduating from high school is a once in a lifetime experience and it should not be taken away from anyone. Graduation does not only show the hard work of the students but also the sacrifices of their family or friends.  

Please stand with the class of 2020 and sign this petition. A virtual graduation will NOT be same experience. By signing this petition you let the class of 2020 experience one of their most memorable experiences.
