Turn off the E-toll gantries while the country is starved of electricity!
The Issue
While South Africa is under supplied with electricity, the Government are wasting the little we have to keep the e-toll gantries operating.
This is nothing more than stubbornly trying to keep a rotten, failed project alive in the face of all reason. Too embarrassed to admit failure, they are denying our homes and businesses a basic essential - electricity.
Turning off the gantries will cost the government nothing - the target market are not paying the tolls anyway. South Africa's first and most successful mass Civil disobedience movement have already won this battle. Time for the government to man up and face the facts. Leaving the gantries switched on is nothing more than gross irresponsibility in the face of Eskom's fight to keep the nation energized.
Support our petition to force the authorities to turn off these non-essential power-wasters. Please add your signature and save power for where it's needed - in our homes, in our businesses, and on our streets.
