Today details of the petition have been sent to the Chief Executives of both Sandwell and Walsall Councils as well as the Chief Inspector of West Midlands Police. I have also just to keep them aware copied in MPs Tom Watson and Valerie Vaz. They can't say they don't know about it now. I have also put a complaint in about local Ward Councillors not replying to requests to support petition and also the fact that we have not received responses from Great Barr & Yew Tree, Paddock and Palfrey Neighbourhood Police Teams. There has been a great effort made by you all to raise awareness of the tensions felt within our community and to express the need for action and not talk. I shall continue to push for action and also answers to many issues that have arisen over these last few weeks. The press are aware of our petition although the Evening Mail report was disappointing as they did not refer to our petition. Their reporter has since been contacted. It was interesting to see that Cllr Melia had revealed to the press the tension we have. He has been aware of those tensions for nigh on two years and done nothing. We ALL have shown that if we work together we can create a move forwards, a chance to improve our area and the ability to hold those in authority to account, and we do have to at times. Our elected members are there to represent us, not their parties, sometimes they forget this and it's good just to remind them from time to time. Finally on tonight's update I sincerely and with a great deal of gratitude thank you all again for your efforts, and I might sound like a broken record but let's push it more. Let's see what we can achieve by midnight Sunday and be in a position to present our petition to the Council on the Monday. All the very best,
