Why this matters:
For decades, the people of North Telangana have relied heavily on congested roadways, enduring long commute hours and tragic road accidents. While the region is home to vibrant cultural identities, vast agricultural production, and key business hubs, it lacks a direct, unified rail network connecting it efficiently to the capital city, Hyderabad.
The path forward is already halfway clear! South Central Railway has initiated the budget process with a ₹749 Crore tender for the Sircilla-Vemulawada-Kothapalli line, and the Manoharabad-Kothapalli works are in active progress.
However, to unlock the full potential of this region, we need to bridge The Missing Link—extending this network from Vemulawada through Kondagattu, Jagtial, and Dharmapuri right up to Mancherial.
What this will achieve:
A Divine Corridor: Seamless, affordable, and safe travel for lakhs of devotees visiting the holy shrines of Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy Temple (Vemulawada), Anjaneya Swamy Temple (Kondagattu), and Sri Laxmi Narasimha Swamy Temple (Dharmapuri).
Economic & Freight Revolution: Seamless connectivity traversing 6 major districts, dramatically slashing freight logistics costs for local farmers, businesses, and generating massive industrial employment.
Gateway to Interstate Connectivity (Via Mancherial Hub): Mancherial is a major established station on the grand trunk line connecting North and South India. By connecting this proposed new line to Mancherial, the entire direct stretch from Hyderabad, Sircilla, and Jagtial gets direct access to major interstate routes heading towards Maharashtra (Nagpur/Mumbai), Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Northern India.

Setting aside political differences, we urge our three local Members of Parliament to stand united as a singular voice for North Telangana. We demand that you collectively represent this aspiration in Parliament, coordinate with the Ministry of Railways, and secure the official sanction for the final engineering survey and budget allocation for this missing stretch.
