Sanction Israel and Halt Arms Trading

Sanction Israel and Halt Arms Trading
The issue
Since 1948, Palestinians have faced systematic displacement and violence, in violation of international law. During the Nakba, more than 700,000 Palestinians were expelled from their homes, and over 400 villages were destroyed or depopulated. Since the 1967 war, Israel has occupied the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and Gaza. The construction and expansion of settlements in occupied territory—explicitly prohibited under the Fourth Geneva Convention (Art. 49(6))—continue to this day, despite repeated international condemnation.
With this petition, we implore governments worldwide to take decisive action by imposing sanctions on Israel and halting all trading of arms, military equipment, and dual-use components. This specifically includes the halting of trade involving F-35 components, which have been used in airstrikes against civilian areas, leading to the deaths of innocent women and children.
The ongoing situation in Palestine is a humanitarian crisis that demands global attention and action. Acts of aggression against civilians are not isolated incidents but part of a long-standing pattern of oppression. Stopping the trade of military equipment that enables such violence sends a strong message against the continuation of human rights violations.
Implementing sanctions and ending arms trade with nations engaging in aggressive military actions against civilians aligns with international legal frameworks and human rights standards. Numerous resolutions, including those by the United Nations, emphasize the illegality of settlement expansions and systematic oppression of Palestinians.
By signing this petition, you are demanding accountability and urging your government to stand up for justice, peace, and the rights of Palestinians. Your signature can help put international pressure on Israel to change its course and pursue peaceful resolutions. Please sign and share this petition to make a difference.
