Regardless of all of the finger pointing and who is right and who is wrong...You have the chance now...today, to do what is right.  Your business is to help strays, homeless, unwanted animals.  You have adopted one out that has a family that misses him, while you have one sitting in your shelter that needs a home.  Reach out to the the family and let them know the dog they have needs to come home.  Offer another dog in your shelter.  Deuce has been in our family for 11 years and with them for 10 days.  Aren't we concerned how he feels?  How the abandoned dog in your shelter feels?  Two dogs could be happy with one decision.
