Friday May 29, 2020, in San Jose, 33 year old Jared Yuen was caught on camera taunting protestors and escalating what was already was a tense situation. He’s then identified by San Jose resident Tim Harper as the man who shot him in the stomach with a rubber bullet after HELPING the officers with an injured civilian. His chief of police Eddie Garcia calls him a good kid who made a mistake. San Jose city council member Lan Diep says he should not be fired but instead deserves a chance to atone for his actions. The police force is not a game for “kids” to have fun. The police claim to train all officers to deescalate situations like the one he was placed in and he failed to do so. He needs to be held accountable for his actions and deserves to be fired. We need to stand up for the innocent citizens of America who continue to be abused by law enforcement. If they allow people like  Jared Yuen on the police force after intentionally hurting an innocent civilian then whose side are the police really on? Call 1 (408) 277-8900 and ask for his removal and possibly charge for assault
