I am NOT in favor of the El Paseo de Saratoga project in San Jose. I am not in favor of the Costco project in West San Jose.

We need a proper urban plan - not just put these high-density office, retail and apartments into West San Jose. It is not right!

The building heights would reach 10 stories and 12 stories
There is no plan for surrounding infrastructure to support this massive development project. How will the current roads support this massive growth? How will we deal with the massive traffic logjams?

Let us build a strategic plan for the future backed by strong urban planning science.

Can we be pragmatic in our approach to ensure we preserve and enhance the quality of life?

Transportation and housing together make communities better and successful. It is imperative that we establish prosperous communities via a vision for established relationship between housing and transportation policy to make our communities better places to live, work,, play and raise families.   Transportation fosters economic prosperity, has the ability to preserves and protect the environment, and connect people across the distances. With a good transportation vision, state of the art high-speed (NOT surface bullet train) eco-friendly, carbon free, pollution free and noise free transportation, we can build housing, seed new economic zones to create prosperity and a vibrant economy.
 
Please do not undermine local control and let us not change the character of cities that can never be undone.
