We’ve always approached the month of June with a lot of excitement. It’s Pride month, both our boys and their grandpa have birthdays in June, the school year was always ending, Father’s Day celebrations, BBQs, the start of summer vacation. Jaxon’s birthday is coming up next week on June 9th. This would have been his 23rd birthday. The last two birthdays have seemed surreal. He was so close to being 21 when he died and now the years seem to be picking up speed, racing on.
It will be an interesting month for us. It will be the first time sharing his birthday with all of you. We never knew that Jaxon’s story would resonate with so many people. Just a little over a week ago, we gained 12,000 more supporters. Well over 106,000 of you have showed your support for Jaxon and the demand we have to seek answers and justice for his death.
In honor of Jaxon’s upcoming birthday, we’d like to ask you to consider doing the following:
- Share Jaxon’s Justice For Jaxon Sales Change.org Petition with your network or ask just one more person you know to show their support by signing the petition. The decision makers are notified each time we meet a milestone number and each signature reminds them that we are still seeking answers and justice.
- Share Jaxon’s GoFundMe link with your network or ask one person to donate $5-$10 dollars to help us with legal fees that we have started to incur. We’re still searching for an attorney that will represent us for the civil lawsuit we filed in the California Supreme Court. We’re currently self-representing and navigating through all the legal issues with a number of defendants. Your support will help us with securing an attorney and with the legal fees associated with the lawsuit.
Thank you all again for your support. Since sharing Jaxon’s story and a little bit about his life with you, we made great strides at the beginning of the year. Let’s keep pushing forward together to make sure that we find justice for Jaxon and potentially save others who may find themselves in a similar situation.
Thank you, Angie, Jim & Alex
