I believe all homeowners should have the same “Right to Rent” and ask that you amend the unconstitutional short-term rental ordinance due to go into effect in San Francisco in February 2015, and create a policy that is fair to all.

I believe all homeowners should have the same “Right to Rent” and ask that you amend the unconstitutional short-term rental ordinance due to go into effect in San Francisco in February 2015, and create a policy that is fair to all.
The Issue
For years, the vacation rental industry has enabled families to afford their retirement homes, put their kids through college and take affordable and memorable vacations together with their loved ones.
With its recently passed legislation, San Francisco has removed the "Right to Rent" from part-time residents, who are the core of the vacation rental industry. We believe this is more than just bad policy—it’s also discriminatory. And we feel a duty to oppose it on behalf of the millions of people around the world who want other travelers to enjoy their home away from home and the city that they love. If copied by other cities, rules like this will significantly change the short-term rental industry we all depend on.
We ask that you help us to convince the San Francisco Board of Supervisors to amend the current law so it balances the needs of the community while providing equal opportunities for all people to rent their properties.
Help us preserve the #RightToRent!
