Tenants in Linda Vista are fighting back. San Diego residents living in "Village Apartments" and "Astro Vista Apartments" in Linda Vista are facing outrageous conditions: cockroaches, bed bugs, mold, worn-out carpets, lead exposure and more--meanwhile the slumlords and property managers are charging excessive fees and many tenants have received notice that their rent will be increased by $500-$600 per month. Rather than just complying with the rent hikes or moving to another location, these tenants are fighting back for their rights. On Wednesday, May 18 at 1:00 p.m. at 6952 Eastman St, San Diego, CA 92111, tenants will be marching together protesting the deplorable conditions and outrageous rent hikes they are currently facing.
