Greetings I'm a mother reaching out to get help with a solution for the constant violent murders that constantly occur in our community most going unsolved. I feel if we could have this law implemented into our governmental Laws it could bring a stop to this type of crime happening so frequently in our streets. It's 's time for us as parents and the new elders of our communites to send a message to these killers that hold us all captive in our neighborhood that we're not going to live in fear of them any longer. I'm not a activists or anything like that, but what I am is a mother that wants justice for the senseless murder of my 23yr old only son Derion Elias White

On June 29, 2016 my only son Derion Elias White 23 yrs old was snatched from my life by a known and feared gang member.

During the investigation I was told to many time by Detectives "we know who he is but we can't touch him " (No one will come forward against him).

After so many nights of anger sadness and wanting revenge for the senseless murder of my child, and realizing that I was not the only mother to have her soul crushed by this type of monster. I vowed to fight the injustice.

Today I am proposing away to rid our streets of these type of people who have No regard for life

I am offering a solution in the form of a Law that would give families of gang violence, and more, a ray of hope that Arrest and Convictions will be made. Please consder this a solution for an growing problem.

Derion's Law

I am Interested in creating a law that will encourage victim's and their families to no longer be held captive by gangs and other crimes that leave us all frozen in time.
Afraid to come forward for fear of retaliation. I would propose a type of way for high risk
Willing witness to testify without putting there families or themselves in any form of retaliation.

A willing witness will be allowed to testify in the judges chambers under a type of law that keeps private who this person is. All personal information would be kept private to all and can only be shared with a Judge, the Lawyer of the suspects, the D.A and Jurors in a jury room. After all allowed persons have read it this paperwork will be sealed not to ever be opened without the knowledge of the presiding Judge. This way keeping the witness name confidential.

 There would be ( 2) options for a witness in this privacy policy that we'll call "Derion's Law" This portion is for the unwilling witnesses or person's with pertinent information regarding a case that could lead to a ultimate conviction and are unwilling to provide information.

If (1) or more person's that's a reliable source gives a name of a person with viable information, and the unwilling witness still refuse to divulge the information that can solve the case. Charges could be brought up against them and they will be prosecuted for withholding that information In the case.

Second of part, if they are on any type of government aid it could be terminated. If they have children their children can be removed from the home for child endangerment. And if receiving any public assistance that will be terminated. Even though this testimony is unwilling it will be taken and covered With the same rules to keep personal information sealed.

Derion's Law will allow multiple witnesses to come forward.

I am Interested in creating a law that will
encourage willing victim's and their families to no longer be held captive by gang violence and other crimes that leave us all frozen in time and to have a voice that will be heard. And to encourage those that are afraid of the STREET CODE ( Don't talk snicth) that forces them into secrecy.

I'd like to know the steps to take to make this a Law in order to begin to send the message to these criminals who blatantly commit these crimes without fear of being convicted.

The people who come forward with information using this method would be only recognized by a number only. There personal information could not be leaked. So there would be no eminent danger to them or there families

I believe if this Law was allowed to be put in place we can change the numbers of Innocent people being killed and the number of killers being convicted. If you can help me with the information to start this process I would greatly appreciate anything.

If these ideas are made Law it could possibly bring comfort and closing to so many families that have lost loved one's to these Terrorist. And also send a message that these Communities will no longer except this town take over from these street thugs.

If they choose to commit these heiness crimes they will be sought out arrested and ultimately convicted to the fullest extent of the law. This will never bring family or friends back, But it can be a start to closing those very tragic moments of loss that too many families are forced to suffer through.

We have to take back our streets The killers are becoming bold with each life they take and get away with. To suffer the untimely deaths of our loved ones is a travesty.

Together we can put a stop to these American Terrorists. Let's make this a reality let's put "Derion's Law" in the court system, Let's make this Law.
