Folks, You have kept Big Bear Animal Pound basically EMPTY. Right now, we have two dogs and one cat but we also have a list of people waiting for the dogs. We still need an adopter for the cat.

But where we have succeeded as a community in Big Bear, we have a recent development in Los Angeles County that is UNTHINKABLE. Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control has decided that they will no longer allow UNFETTERED / OPEN ACCESS to all adoptable cats and dogs in their pounds. THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH COVID-19. They have declared that moving forward, they are not going to allow the general public to show up and adopt without an appointment. They also will only allow residents to see ONE DOG OR CAT PER VISIT. 

THIS IS POWER GONE MAD. Please read and sign my petition to get the Los Angeles County Animal Pounds REOPENED TO THE PUBLIC. I need your signature NOW more than EVER! We can not leave the power to make life and death decisions in the hands of individuals that kill innocent animals daily.
