In the last few years, together we've taken BIG BEAR animal pound that normally was full to an animal pound that normally sits empty. Today, we have one dog waiting to be adopted with 3 names placed on a waiting list to get that precious soul out. We just got a bunch of cats so if you can save a cat, please stop by the shelter.

In just a few years, we've turned our community POUND into a community animal SHELTER. I can sleep at night knowing that not one dog or cat will die in our animal pound. This was our goal. We wanted to be able to say that BIG BEAR IS NO KILL. We took the ability for our pound to kill our animals OUT OF THEIR HANDS because we came to together.

Now, our neighbors need us. All LOS ANGELES COUNTY and CITY animal pounds are NOT ALLOWING THE GENERAL PUBLIC to come into the pound and look at all the adoptable animals in their cages. They are restricting people to finding an adoptable animal they want on the Internet and then only showing them ONE animal per visit. They also require that all appointments can not be SAME DAY. You must wait a minimum of 3 days before coming into the pound so that you THNK ABOUT WHETHER OR NOT GETTING A PET IS RIGHT FOR YOU. Sadly, I've been going to the pounds and watching to see how many people are showing up to their appointments. Almost no one is coming. You can hear the animals HOWLING in the background and no one is coming. 

Lancaster killed 73 in June. Baldwin Park is now killing because they claim certain animals have no interest. It's a blood bath and no one has been doing anything about it UNTIL NOW.
