Epcot at Walt Disney World will be hosting their 20th annual Food and Wine Festival this year and recently announced a new booth called "Sustainable Chew." The featured entree at this booth is planned to be Pork Spareribs.

It is well established that animal agriculture is anything but sustainable. By labeling an animal-product-full booth as "sustainable," they are sending a false message.

The reason buzzwords like "sustainable" and "green" are quickly gaining in popularity is that the concepts they represent are the direction that more and more people are recognizing we need to move.

However, if we start labeling the status quo as "sustainable," meaningful change will never be achieved.

Calling a pork product booth "sustainable" is a slap in the face to all those who sacrifice every day to live sustainably and get the message of the value of true sustainable living out there.

Selling and consuming animal products is one thing, but mislabeling them as "sustainable" is completely another.

In addition to the new "sustainable" booth, they've also announced the removal of their only booth with vegan options, "Terra" -- a booth that actually did offer more sustainable options!

Please sign and let Disney know that we don't appreciate the misappropriation of "sustainability!"
