This petition is important because while Samuel Betances is an experienced and respected diversity speaker, his messages have been hateful, racist and offensive when he has spoken these messages in front of U.S. government officials. Mr. Betances has been hired to work for the U.S. government and teach diversity and sensitivity seminars with our own tax dollars. He has worked with the US Department of Agriculture, US Department of Energy, US Department of Interior, USDA Forest Service, US Department of Housing and Urban Development, and the US Department of Justice. In the past year, Mr. Betances has given diversity and sensitivity seminars at leas 16 times to USDA employees. Betances' seminars have been paid by taxpayers and the cost of his seminars have been over $200,000.  Mr. Betances' racist and offensive messages are currently teaching government officials to be racist and hateful, something that is unneccesarry and unjust. Diversity and sensitivity training is fine, however when diversity speakers preach hateful, controversial and offensive messages, a line is crossed.  We demand his biased, offensive messages and his speeches indoctrinating government workers must end.
