The Republic of Somaliland is a de facto self acting entity in the Horn of Africa, sharing borders with Djibouti to the West, Ethiopia to the South, its international Parent State of Somalia to the East and the Gulf of Aden to the North. Despite no international recognition of its claimed independence, Somaliland enjoys a relatively stable existence. With unrecognized and disputed entities like Taiwan and Kosovo having emojis, it is fair to say that Somaliland deserves their own too!
