Samsung give us the option to disable the On Screen Volume Display on your TV's
The Issue
Hello Samsung, I purchased a new 77 Inch Samsung S90C earlier this year. I came from a 65Q9FN. On the new S90C and most of your new TV's released in the last few years when you go to change the volume up or down on the TV there is this gigantic on-screen volume display message that appears as you are changing the volume. This is super annoying. There are numerous threads on the Samsung forums as well as on Reddit discussing this issues and begging Samsung Support to give us the option to disable this. My old 65Q9FN had pretty much the same interface/menu structure and for the most part it looks exactly the same. But the 65QNFN did not have this annoying on-screen volume indicator. On a 77 inch TV this is absolutely gigantic, and is extremely annoying when you have to keep adjusting the volume to accommodate the different levels in sounds during programming. This seems like a simple fix that Samsung could implement to give us the option to disable it instead of the public having to figure out what work arounds they can come up with. Which are very few. I have a 5000$ sound system hooked up to this TV and for some reason can't get rid of this stupid, annoying on-screen indicator. If this is not fixed the next time, I go to purchase a high-end TV, then Samsung will not be one of my options. I love your products, but this simple stupid thing is driving me nuts. Please fix. And also take time to read your own forums. There are numerous forums with Samsung moderators that have been going on for 3 years now where the moderators will push this up to support to have them consider. But so far nothing has come to fruition. :(
