H μάχη ξεκίνησε.. Πρέπει όλοι να είμαστε παρόντες…
Από το ιστορικό ακριτικό νησί μας, από το άκρο αυτό των ευρωπαϊκών συνόρων, επιδιώκουμε να αναδείξουμε τον τόπο μας σε πανευρωπαϊκό κέντρο, «υπενθυμίζοντας» στην Ευρώπη ότι στη Σάμο διασταυρώνονται οι βασικοί άξονες αυτού που νοούμε ως ευρωπαϊκό πολιτισμό, με τις ρίζες του στην αρχαία Ελλάδα: η φιλοσοφία με τον Πυθαγόρα, η επιστήμη με τον Αρίσταρχο, η τεχνολογία με τον Ευπαλίνο. Στον τόπο όπου ο Πυθαγόρας έκανε λόγο για την αρμονία ως πηγή των πάντων, αναδεικνύουμε την αρμονία ως παράγοντα βασικό του ελεύθερου βίου, του διαλόγου, του αλληλοσεβασμού, της κατανόησης, της δημιουργικής συνάντησης ιδεών, εθνών και ανθρώπων.

Το Πυθαγόρειο Θεώρημα του Πολιτισμού
Η πρότασή μας είναι το «Πυθαγόρειο Θεώρημα του Πολιτισμού», ότι δηλαδή «άνθρωπος στο τετράγωνο + Δημιουργικότητα στο τετράγωνο οδηγούν σε Πολιτισμό στο τετράγωνο». Το τρίγωνο του Πυθαγόρα αναβαπτίζεται σε ένα τρίγωνο πολιτισμού, με άξονες τον άνθρωπο και τη δημιουργικότητα. Και εδώ, πρωτεύοντα και ενεργό ρόλο καλούνται να παίξουν οι ίδιοι οι άνθρωποι του νησιού μας. Οι ίδιοι οι πολίτες του, που γνωρίζουν τις ομορφιές κάθε γωνιάς του, την ιστορία κάθε πτυχής του, οι ίδιοι οι Σαμιώτες καλούνται να δείξουν στην Ευρώπη ολόκληρη ότι διαπνέονται από ένα συλλογικό όραμα και εμπνέονται από κοινούς στόχους.

Samos for European Capital of Culture 2021

In 2021 the title of European Capital of Culture will be awarded to a Greek City. Samos the birthplace of Pythagoras, Aristarchus and Epicurus, is an island of history and natural beauty, a place where science, philosophy and the arts flourished and helped shape our common European Identity and Ideals. In October 2015, Samos will be submitting its bid for European Capital of Culture for the year 2021. Our proposal is centered on the "Pythagorean Theorem of Culture", a creative re-interpretation of the famous mathematical equation: People² + Creativity² = Culture²
The triangle of Pythagoras thus becomes a triangle of people, of cooperation and creation. Indeed, the leading role in this effort belongs to the volunteers who share the same ideals, on the island and abroad. We kindly ask for your support. With your help we can bring Samos, a small island on the Eastern European frontiers, to the epicenter of Europe's Cultural Institutions and its people one step closer to realizing their dream.

Ιn 2021 wird die Kulturhaupstadt Europas aus Griechenland sein.
Samos, die Insel des Pythagoras und des Efpalinos, die Insel der Geschichte, der natürlichen Schönheit, des Geschmackes, der Kultur,
der Menschen und der Ideen, hat ihre Kanditatur als Europäische Kulturhauptstadt vorgelegt.
Unser Vorschlag ist „der Kultursatz des Pythagoras“ nämlich „Menschen im Quadrat + Kreativität im Quadrat führen zu Kultur im Quadrat.”
Das Pythagoras - Dreieck wird hier zum Kulturdreieck, mit Mensch und Kreativität als Säulen. Und genau hier spielen die erste Rolle die Menschen unserer Insel, aber auch diejenigen, die unser Land lieben.

Nuestra propuesta está basada en el Teorema Cultural de Pitágoras, donde “hombre al cuadrado + creatividad al cuadrado lleva a civilización al cuadrado.

Nel 2021 la capitale culturale d’Europa sara dalla Grecia .
Samos l’isola di Pitagora, di Arostarcho, di Eupalino, l’isola della storia, delle bellezze naturali, del gusto, della cultura, delle persone e delle idée, ha presentato instanza per la sua candidatura come Capitale Europea della Cultura.

Samos, kandidat til europæisk kulturhovedstad i 2021

I år 2021 skal Europas kulturhovedstad findes i Grækenland.
Vi indstiller Samos....
Samos, som er Pythagoras´, Aristarchos´og Eupalinos´ ø. Historiens - , den smukke naturs - , kulturens - , menneskenes - og idéernes ø har indsendt sit kandidatur til Europæisk Kulturhovedstad.
Vort forslag bygger på "Pythagoras´ kultur-læresætning": "Mennesket2 + Kreativitet2 = Kultur2". Pythagoras´ trekant bliver her til en kulturtrekant med mennesket og kreativitet som akser.
Her spiller øens mennesker den første og største rolle, men osse alle, som holder af Samos, og netop derfor beder vi om DIN støtte til at få Samos nomineret som Europas kulturhovedstad 2021.
