Hi, my name is Elisabeth and I want to make a difference. Tigers have always been one of my favourite animals and currently, there are around 400 Sumatran tigers left in the wild, making them endangered. And their population is going down drastically with 1,000 left in 1978. This is horrible and something needs to be done soon before these tigers become extinct. One of the main reasons for this is palm oil production. The forests that tigers call home are being cut down to create palm oil which can be found in the products we eat every day, such as Nutella, Tim tams, Kit Kats, pringles and many more. Palm oil can also be found in some soaps, ice cream, lipsticks, shampoos, detergents and cookies.

Things I want to achieve by creating this petition:

- Help stop the production of wrongly sourced palm oil

- Have more protected areas for tigers to stay in, I don’t think all palm oil production should be stopped, but if we can create more protected rainforests the tigers will have a more forever home.

-Have an extra fee on most products containing palm oil. This could help make consumers not want to buy these products, as they will be more expensive. If fewer people are purchasing products with palm oil the companies creating this product could consider removing palm oil from their products.
