WSP: Approve Garlough School Project

The Issue

Please sign the petition if you support the approval of the Garlough Elementary School Site Plan. This Petition will be provided to the WSP City Council by Garlough Elementary Students at the City Council Meeting on Monday, 12/10/18.

Status:

The WSP City Council meets on Monday, 12/10/18 to determine if they will approve the Garlough Environmental Magnet School Site Plan (1740 Charlton Street) as unanimously recommended by the Planning Commission and City Staff in the City Council Report dated 11/26/18.

At the last WSP City Council meeting on 11/26, the City Council failed to pass the Garlough site plan over concern that more parking is needed (possibly 6-10 more spots) than was included in the plan. The Site Plan was proposed with 86 parking spots (city ordinance only requires 69 parking spots).  Two members of the Council were absent from the 11/26/18 meeting. Full attendance is expected for the 12/10/18 City Council meeting.

We are running out off time due to a 60 day deadline for approving the project that is expiring in late December.
