Allow functionality of Inklen's MixEmergency in Scratch Live 2.4 and above
The Issue
As working professional Video DJs, we are writing to you today to ask for your support. With your recent decision to block Inklen’s MixEmergency from working with Scratch Live 2.4 and all future versions, you are compromising our upgrade options - with regards to both hardware and software. In order to continue performing our shows at their current level, and incorporating the live video manipulation features we have grown accustomed to and dependent on in MixEmergency, we are forced to stick with current hardware solutions and not run the most up-to-date supported software versions.
We acknowledge the fact that there were most likely many factors that went into your decision to no longer allow MixEmergency to run alongside Scratch Live, but we hope that the needs of the working professional Video DJs are ultimately taken into account.
We urge you to allow Inklen’s independently developed software to run alongside future versions of Scratch Live. Please do not turn a blind eye to the working professional Video DJs who require the capabilities and features MixEmergency provides, because as future hardware upgrades and software updates become available, we’d love to continue to be Serato customers and run Scratch Live at our shows.
