There have been numerous instances where dogs and their owners have been walking through Sandbach Flashes and the dog has entered a certain area of water, water that looks still and calm.

What the owner and dog is unaware of, is that in the depths of this water is a fierce current that has dragged many dogs under and into adjacent underwater concrete pipes, and unfortunately they’re not seen again. 

This area urgently needs adequate signage and adequate fencing, currently there is neither signage nor adequate fencing. And only recently a local couple have unnecessarily lost their beautiful inncoent dog in this way.

Not only is this a risk to dogs but also small children. It is a complete death trap and even the most basic risk assessment would show more needs to be done to prevent further tragedies.
