Vi abbiamo scritto tempo fa, ma forse non era arrivata questa bella notizia: Il Fondo Ambiente Italiano ha scelto l'Alpe Devero tra i vincitori dei "Luoghi del Cuore" da salvare.
In tutta Italia 27 località: l'Alpe Devero tra queste!
Il FAI si impegna così in un progetto di tutela dei valori paesaggistici ed ambientali del suo “Luogo del Cuore” per proteggerlo da infrastutturazioni e alterazioni che lo potrebbero danneggiare.
La scelta dell’Alpe Devero tra i vincitori e l’impegno del FAI, con il suo prestigio e le sue competenze, sono una ulteriore prova del valore inestimabile di questo territorio e del pregio delle voci che si levano a sua tutela.
In clima di bilanci di fino anno, possiamo dire che fino ad oggi le nostre montagne sono ancora come le abbiamo conosciute e le amiamo. Per continuare a proteggerle ci sarà bisogno del contributo di tutti. Vi aggiorneremo a breve.

The FAI now also supports Alpe Devero
Good news: The FAI (Fondo Ambiente Italiano) has chosen Alpe Devero among the winners of the “Places of the Heart” to be saved.
The FAI is the National Trust of Italy. It is a private non-profit organisation and its purpose is to protect aspects of Italy's physical heritage which might otherwise be lost. Every second year it organises a survey of the most attractive places in Italy, with the aim of selecting a restricted number of flagship locations (“Luoghi del cuore”- Places of the Heart), that will be awarded support for the implementation of protection projects.
The FAI Commission, together with the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism and in collaboration with the Intesa San Paolo Bank, have included Alpe Devero among the 27 award winners for 2018 out of many thousands of other candidates:
Alpe Devero is located in the Italian Alps of North Piedmont. Thanks to its valuable landscape and natural heritage, it is included, together with a large surrounding area, in both a Regional Park and in a Natura 2000 Site protected by European laws.
The FAI is thus engaged in a project benefitting the landscape and environmental values of its new "Place of the Heart", with the aim of protecting it from the building of infrastructures and alterations that could damage it.
In fact, a new development project is planning to extend the infrastructures of a tourist and ski resort inside the Natura 2000 Site, where Italian and European laws protect Alpe Devero and its surrounding area.
The choice of Alpe Devero among the winners and the commitment of FAI, with its prestige and expertise, is further proof of the priceless value of this area and of the voices that arise to protect it.
