This petition is designed to represent all the people that support the Desert Shores Restoration Project and Restoration in general at the Salton Sea that are not able to attend the Salton Sea Authority Board Meeting on September 19th, 2019. The names on this petition will be presented to the Board Members Of The Salton Sea Authority at the September 19th meeting and is a request for the Salton Sea Authority to actively support the Desert Shores Restoration Project.

This Restoration Project will restore the natural habitat to the Channels at Desert Shores and provide for the return of the birds that are part of the Pacific Flyway and are dependent on the Salton Sea as a food source along their journey. This Project will also provide a health benefit to the residents of Desert Shores by reducing dust emissions that are responsible for the higher incidence of asthma and lung related conditions  found around the Salton Sea.
