Salon lofts is only agreeing to defer rent payment up to 50% of rent and then expects loft owners to pay their weekly rent on top of the deferred weekly rent until the deferment is caught up. I do not agree with this as I am sure many of my fellow loft owners will not agree to this either! Please help me spread the word so that Salon Lofts and other Salon Loft companies will do the right thing!!!

Loft Owners,

On behalf of Salon Lofts, I want to personally thank you for your understanding, strength, courage and mostly your patience.  With salons that span nationwide we have been monitoring the various levels of impact over the last week and have been working hard to create relief options to help each and every one of you during this challenging time.  In an effort to support you, we are making the following programs available.
First of all, if your salon is closed due to a mandate by Federal, State or Local Government, rent will be waived until the salon re-opens.
Additionally, you are eligible for the following programs while your salon is open:

Rent Support Program
50% of Rent can be elected to be deferred (not collected) through the May 8, 2020 rent withdrawal.
On June 5th 2020, deferred rent starts to be collected in addition to regular rent, in equal installments across 52 rent payments (1 year.)
As long as all deferred rent and regular rent is paid over 52 weeks you will be eligible for 2 weeks of rent credits.
To request a Rent Support Agreement, place an issue in under Rent Support.
 Rent Incentive Program
Continue to pay rent and stay current on your rent for 52 weeks not inclusive of any mandated closures.
If you stay current with your rent, you will receive Rent Rewards equivalent to 4 weeks free rent redeemable at your discretion. This credit will be applied to your Rent Rewards account.

FAQs:

Q:  If I already closed my business, can I still choose to defer Rent?
A:  Yes, please place an issue under Rent Support to request an Application.  The rent deferment will apply only to future rent pulls.

Q: How do I apply for Rent Support?
A:  To request a Rent Support Agreement, place an issue under Rent Support.  Return the Agreement by 10:00am on the Friday prior to the Friday that you want to start deferring your rent.  NOTE: if you want your deferment to start next Friday, March 27th, we need your completed Agreement by Sunday, March 22nd at 10:00am.

Q:  What happens if my salon closes due to a government mandate while I am on the Rent Support Program?
A:  In the event of a mandated shutdown, we will waive Rent and any deferred Rent collection will resume according to the repayment period after your salon re-opens.  As long as you fulfill your obligation to repay the deferred rent, you will receive 2 weeks Rent credit through Rent Rewards.

Q What happens if my salon closes and I have paid full rent under the Rent Incentive Program?
A:  Your rent will be waived during the closure.  When your salon re-opens, if you stay current on your Rent for 52 weeks and repay your deferment, you will receive 4 weeks Rent credit through Rent Rewards.

Q:  What if I have to leave Salon Lofts before I have completed repayment of deferred rent?
A:  Any deferred rent needs to be repaid prior to being released from your Sublease.

Q:  How long will this program be available?
A:  Currently, this program will be available until May 1st, and we may consider extending or suspending the program if circumstances dictate.

Best,
Steve
