Homes AT Risk CPO

The Issue

Homes and businesses are being compulsory purchased by Bexley Council on behalf of Peabody. Compulsory Purchasing should only be done when it is in the public interest and this is not in local people’s best interests. The focus cannot simply be on future residents, but those who have made Abbey Wood and Thamesmead their homes for the past 30 years with no local investment.

We are a community that has been dismissed and largely forgotten and now are being forced out of our homes.

We ask Sajid Javid to step in and ensure the local community is treated with respect and dignity and are not worse off at the end of this process.
