Coronavirus has been infecting the world, and it is only a matter of days before we see cases ending up in Halifax. Saint Mary's University needs to move it's courses to an online format immediately, and should not wait until dozens of cases are confirmed to do so.

Universities all around the world are switching to online classes to protect the safety and health of students, and reduce the speed of this disease spreading to alleviate the number of people requiring hospital care at a time. It is our responsibility to slow the spread of this virus before it's too late, taking a PRO-active rather than a RE-active approach.

Students are already opting to not attend class unless they have to physically be there to write a test, do a presentation, etc. Students should not be forced to make the decision between their education and their health, and Saint Mary's should accommodate this immediately.
