First of all, I want to say thank you so much to everyone who supported all of us student teaching. I had so much help from my family and friends as well as from my classmates. 

On Thursday afternoon I had a conversation with the dean. She was very open and willing to hear our concerns. I found out that there were some discussions happening amongst my department, but I was asked not to discuss them until they were finalized in case they didn't happen. 

Now that the decision has been made, I can share with all of you that while we are not getting SCSU's original spring break, we will be getting a sort of mini spring break! We are very fortunate to have professors who care about us and hear us out. They decided as a department that we would get Thursday and Friday off this upcoming week to give us a four-day weekend before we start our student teaching. This is a huge win!!
