Keep the store donation bins for cat food charities.

Thousands of unwanted, neglected and injured cats up and down the country are being cared for by Cats Protection. This charity is RELIANT on cat food kindly donated by caring members of the public who shop at Sainsbury's and can put a tin or box of food in the charities donation bins in store if they choose to. This allows people to make a little offering which goes a very long way. This food is collected and distributed locally to cat sanctuaries and individual cat fosterers who would find it impossible to feed the number of cats in their care without these donations. Now Sainsbury's have informed these charities that they will NO LONGER allow these collection points in their stores nationwide; they say they will donate funds to charities of their choice instead. This will cause great hardship to people trying to obtain food locally for rescued cats and the impact on already over-stretched animal charities will be immense. Please sign and share this petition to get Sainsbury's to have a heart in their local communities.
