The residents of the Maluti-a-Phofung Municipality have been up in arms over the water crisis in Qwaqwa. The residents do not have access to clean water; some do not have access to water at all. This problem has persisted for a number of years with their pleas falling on deaf ears. We refuse to tolerate this any longer. We request the intervention of the South African Human Rights Commission to assist with the fulfillment of this basic human right.
