Stop cheating people in the name of insurance, Syska Gadget Secure
The Issue
I had logged a complaint regarding physical damage of iPhone 6, complaint no being 1605145004. The incident happened on 13may 2016 at 10PM. I reported the incident to Syska's customer care the next day. They had asked me to upload the photos of phone and certain documents on its online platform.
Without uploading the documents on its online platform, Syska's team had rejected the case. The case wasn't even considered, my mobile wasn't even looked at.
While putting the mobile in my pocket it got slipped and fell on the floor. It has got scratches on the screen which is a clear case of physical damage.
I have also contacted their customer care where the officer states two reasons:
1. That this is not a case of accidental damage,
2. The IMEI no. on the original bill does not match with the current one.
1. It is nowhere written in the brochure in what all is conditions it can be treated as accidental damage. Nobody will purposely throw/drop his/her mobile.
2. Apple has a policy to replace the handset if it has got any problems. I have a bill which states that the problem was of mic and that is why it got replaced. Hence, the change in IMEI.
I would urge insurance companies like Syska to bring in some transparency in their system. It is not always about selling a product. Customer concerns and services should be looked at. Also if necessary, some amendments must be made in existing polices in customer interests.
I request people to sign this petition as I want to see insurance companies like SYSKA bring some changes in their policies and look at customer interests.
