We continue to make progress in regards to traffic safety and noise concerning all areas of Port Melbourne to Middle Park...There is a growing number of interested people who are rallying to resolve the issues and meeting regularly to 'get things done'.

Obviously, people are more responsive when they can see and understand the issues first-hand.

A reminder that when you see any hooning/speeding vehicles or hear excessive noise, please do the following:

REPORT * REPORT * REPORT

- Contact 000 immediately. Emergency Services monitor incoming call volumes and will act when they see consistent issues. Don't be complacent and think that someone else will call in to report.

- Take video footage of the issue and email to portroadsafety@gmail.com. This is an email that I will monitor and will help Council and Government officials understand the extent of the problems. Please add location, date, time and registration details where possible.

- General hooning or unsafe driving can be reported to the Crime Stoppers Hoon Hotline on 1800 333 000 or at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au You can remain anonymous.

- Noisy vehicles can be reported to the EPA at https://www.epa.vic.gov.au/report-pollution/noise-pollution

- Remember to keep circulating the petition. We currently have 750 signatures and can re-submit with the comments at any stage so your voices are heard.

I will also be exploring ways in which we can highlight the situation in the media given that all beachside and city locations are expressing concerns over this increasing activity....

Thank you for all the help and support so we can all enjoy a safe and fun summer.
