A group of Montclair NJ residents want safer streets. There have been far too many crashes, far too many persons killed and injured, school bus crashes, speeding, red lights run, near misses and hits in crosswalks, etc. We want Montclair township, Essex county and the state to prioritize road safety now and demand the following:

The Vision Zero Task Force be given the funding, policy and infrastructure support to save lives NOW.  We need to implement our Safe Streets Plan immediately. 

Speed limits on town/county roads need to be 25 mph and 10 mph for school zones.  A difference of 5 mph saves lives!

Local and county police enforce traffic laws and prioritize traffic safety. Allocate funding and prioritize.
