Im sick of being cheated out of my deposit money by nonsense provisions that either fully prevent me from getting my deposit or make it not worth the hassle.

     My petition would make it so that cans and bottles (excluding glass), would have to be accepted equally. Whether they are crushed or not.

     No longer will they be allowed to skirt your deposit because the bottle or can is dented. Or the flimsy paper on the water bottle came off.

     Why is it when people break the law they are prosecuted, but when public servants break the law there are no repercussions?

     On top of the can and on the side of the can there is a "10 cent OR" redemption value showing. This should be enough. Period. Denying that advertised redemption is false advertising. Adding to that, the cans are crushed as soon as they are processed through a self service redemption machine. So why does it matter if I crush them? Another thing to add is the flimsy paper on the plastic water bottles. If that comes off I just dont get my deposit? Regardless if they are crushed or not. Absurd. These people are stealing from us. Its not like I can opt out of this deposit, But they can refuse to give it back? Its outright theft.
