Safe Access For Everyone (SAFE) Remove restrictive cannabis regulations in Georgia
The Issue

I’m writing to you not just as a constituent from Georgia, but as someone living every day with a serious medical condition—someone who relies on medical cannabis to function, to find relief, and to live with dignity.
For countless patients like me across the state, current cannabis regulations have made accessing needed medications far too difficult. The existing restrictions, especially the stringent cap on THC percentage and the prohibition of inhalable products, stand as barriers to effective treatment. These limitations do not merely inconvenience us; they force us to endure unnecessary suffering as we struggle to find the relief we desperately need.
In fact, numerous studies highlight the therapeutic benefits of THC in managing chronic pain, reducing nausea, and improving overall quality of life for individuals with chronic illnesses. According to recent data from the National Institute on Drug Abuse, THC has been proven effective in aiding patients who do not find relief from traditional medications.
Yet, in Georgia, we are held back by policies that prevent us from accessing the full spectrum of benefits medical cannabis can offer.
To alleviate these hardships, I urge you and your colleagues to consider the following changes:
- Remove or significantly adjust the cap on THC percentage in medical cannabis products, allowing patients to receive the dosage they require.
- Lift the ban on inhale-able medical cannabis products to provide more accessible and effective delivery methods for those who need it most.
By enacting these changes, Georgia can join numerous other states that have embraced comprehensive and humane cannabis regulations, prioritizing the well-being and dignity of their residents. It’s time for Georgia to step forward and support patients in their pursuit of health and dignity.
Please lend your voice and support to this cause by signing this petition. Together, we can inspire change and make compassionate medical cannabis reform a reality in Georgia.
