We have a response, but unfortunately it is not one we wanted.

All thank you very much for your support of this petition.
Unfortunately our support of this petition has not persuaded TFL to review MTR's position and the award of this concession and they will still be operating a key part of the Elizabeth Line for 8 years.
In the response we have been given, there is a link to the concession agreement which in the 638 page document provides clear specification as to the performance MTR is expected to met, and from TFL's perspective, it is their track record and operational standards in the UK that will govern how TFL will review.
Political considerations does not weigh in to the process, however in light of recent events by the China's government, given the close ties MTR's management have with CCP and HK government, it very much now ought to a factor, now that China is threatening retaliation to UK's action in extending the residence rights to BNO holders.
A link to the response has been provided.
