Dear Petitioner,
Thank you for the petition submitted on the Change.org website about MTR Corporation Limited (MTRCL).
The safety of all those travelling on the Transport for London (TfL) network is a key priority for TfL and the Mayor. This is a core component of all TfL’s contracts with train operating companies, which provide services on its behalf, including MTRCL.
MTR Corporation (Crossrail) Limited, a subsidiary of MTRCL, was awarded a contract to run the Elizabeth line services in 2014 following a thorough, competitive and transparent procurement process. As with all its agreements with operators, TfL will review them according to the conditions in the contract and performance at the appropriate time.
