Hi everyone, I'd like to thank every single person who sent a private message congratulating me on being brave enough to write yesterday's "Open Letter" in the Saddleworth Independent. But I'm not the brave one. Real bravery belongs to the young boys and girls who are currently being abused and unable to speak out. They are living with it, day in, day out, without anybody to turn to. Mike Buckley is sending out a very dangerous message to these poor children. If an abuser can escape jail, be back in the child's local community, then shrug off his conviction and give interviews to the local press saying his crimes "were of no relevance" - how will any young child have the confidence to tell someone they are being abused? It may be a dark day for Saddleworth but there is light at the end of the tunnel; 600 signatures and hundreds of kind and heartfelt comments. Well done everyone; the fight continues. Mark
