It is unrealistic for us students to meet the 512 hours for our internship especially doing the covid pandemic. A lot of people are facing all kinds of issues. We, students, are trying our best, but sometimes it is out of our control. The hours should be reduced and the Social Work Field Office could be more sympathetic and adjustable because of it. No one predicted the pandemic, but at the same time, the Social Work department could be more understanding and make it a lot easier rather than putting more pressure on us students.

Many of us students need self-care and it is hard to do that with the crazy amount of hours, going to school, having a job, and family can be pretty stressful. Some of us have lost loved ones and even students themselves are struggling financially as well as going through other problems. I feel like the field office cares more about the hours than their students. Let's make the Social Work division hear our voice.
