Fix Spintires Mudrunner game on Steam, save the Mudrunner community.

Fix Spintires Mudrunner game on Steam, save the Mudrunner community.
Das Problem
Dear Saber Interactive, Dear Focus Home Interactive,
We, the payers of MudRunner on Steam, have paid money for a game, that, since the recent crossplay update, keeps crashing over and over while also having other stability issues prior to the recent updates, that are not being attended. The game in it's current state is almost unplayable, for many even when the crossplay function is not activated. There are crashes in singleplayer and multiplayer mode alike. Some can't even start the game. For many, the game is only playable at all by reverting to a previous game version, but even then some still experience frequent crashes.
The discussion forums on steam as well as the Focus MudRunner forums are full of complaints, that are proof of the game’s various malfunctionings.
Is has become clear, that the crossplay update is a disaster for the game's stability and as such, it has also become a disaster for MudRunner’s community.
Steam players, who put their money and trust into your company, by buying your game, are outraged by the recent developments. Many feel that you have neglected, even betrayed, the entire Steam community in favour of the Epic Games Store. Since the crossplay update of November the 27th, 2020, nothing has happened to communicate in a meaningful way with the community on steam, to fix the game's imminent problems or to revert to a previous, more functional state.
It is unacceptable, that players, who activated the crossplay function can no longer play with the ones, that didn't. This was confirmed here by a game dev. Thereby, friends and groups of players are effectively being divided. Furthermore, it is unacceptable, that Steam players are expected to get a Epic Games Store account (and agree to the terms of service) to have a working multiplayer experience and be able to play with friends again. The update is unnecessarily complicating things to the point of frustration and it is, quite frankly, the opposite of what most imagine 'crossplay' to be. The implementation rather suggests that Steam players should be lured to Epic, albeit in a passive way.
Steam players have every right to expect a working game for their money, without having to resort to reverting the game to a previous version, nor should they have to register an account at a game store front, where they didn’t buy the game in the first place.
Saber3D, the MudRunner community is full of enthusiastic players who love to play MudRunner, as well as creative good-hearted people who have supported the game and made it successful through dedicated mapping and modding via Steams workshop feature.
However, due to recent developments, more and more players are turning away from the game. Please don't let MudRunner’s great potential go to waste.
It's not too late to fix the game, rebuild trust and save the relationship with your playerbase.
