Filming has currently begun on the next season of "Power Rangers", "Power Rangers: Super Ninja Steel", until May and it has been reported, though not confirmed yet by Saban Brands or Nickelodeon, that past Rangers from various seasons of "Power Rangers" may return as guest stars for the new season. Websites have reported that actor William Shewfelt, who plays Brody the Red Ranger on "Ninja Steel", recently said in an interview that 2018 is supposed to feature "guest appearances of the most popular past Rangers" for the series' 25th anniversary. If this is true, then we, the fans, are hopeful that "Super Ninja Steel" could include the actors from some of the series' most popular seasons, such as "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers", "Power Rangers In Space", "Power Rangers Time Force", "Power Rangers Dino Thunder" or "Power Rangers Mystic Force".

There are many fan-favorite Rangers that fans hope to see invited back, including Jason David Frank (Tommy Oliver, who appeared as a Ranger from four different "Power Rangers" series), Austin St. John (Jason Lee Scott, the original Mighty Morphin Red Ranger and second Gold Ranger on "Zeo"), Amy Jo Johnson (Kimberly Hart, the original Mighty Morphin Pink Ranger), Johnny Yong Bosch (Adam Park, the second Mighty Morphin Black Ranger, Green Zeo Ranger and original Green Turbo Ranger), Christopher Khayman Lee (Andros the Red Space Ranger), Melody Perinks (Karone, the second Pink Lost Galaxy Ranger), Rhett Fisher (Ryan Mitchell, the Titanium Ranger), Erin Cahill (Jen Scotts, the Pink Time Force Ranger), Jason Faunt (Wesley Collins, the Red Time Force Ranger), Daniel Southworth (Eric Myers, the Quantum Ranger) and Sally Martin (Tori Hanson, the Blue Wind Ranger). There are also several actors who were fan-favorite Rangers from various seasons of "Power Rangers" who have previously expressed interest in returning to the series as guest stars, such as Steve Cardenas (Rocky DeSantos, the second Mighty Morphin Red Ranger and Blue Zeo Ranger), Catherine Sutherland (Kat Hillard, the Pink Ranger from "Mighty Morphin", "Zeo" and "Turbo"), Nakia Burrise (Tanya Sloan, the Yellow Zeo Ranger and first Yellow Turbo Ranger), Blake Anthony Foster (Justin Stewart, the Blue Turbo Ranger), Roger Velasco (Carlos Vallerte, the second Green Turbo Ranger and Black Space Ranger), Tracy Lynn Cruz (Ashley Hammond, the second Yellow Turbo Ranger and Yellow Space Ranger), Cerina Vincent (Maya, the Yellow Lost Galaxy Ranger), Jessica Rey (Alyssa Enrilé, the White Tiger Wild Force Ranger) and Matt Austin (Bridge Carson, who became the Red S.P.D. Ranger on "Operation Overdrive"), that fans also would love to see return to "Power Rangers" for a guest appearance.  Fans are also hopeful that an agreement can be reached with popular cast members, such as David Yost (Billy Cranston, the Mighty Morphin Blue Ranger), Karan Ashley (Aisha Campbell, the second Mighty Morphin Yellow Ranger) and Walter Emanuel Jones (Zack Taylor, the original Mighty Morphin Black Ranger).  While some of these actors may not return due to being union actors or for other reasons, having any of these actors return to the series for either a solo guest appearance each or having multiple actors appear in a big reunion team-up episode (or episodes) would be a dream come true for die-hard fans of the series.  We hope a deal can be reached between union actors and "Power Rangers" to have the actors return as guest stars so fans can see some of their favorite Rangers return to the series after all these years.  We, the fans, also think it would be cool if the series could invite back some of the supporting characters from the series as guest stars, such as David J. Fielding as Zordon, Sandi Sellner as Alpha 5, Richard Horvitz as the voice of Alpha 5, Paul Schrier and Farkas "Bulk" Bulkmeier and Jason Narvy as Eugene "Skull" Skullovitch, or past villains such as Kerrigan Mahan as the voice of Goldar, Barbara Goodson as the voice of Rita Repulsa, Carla Perez as Rita Repulsa, Robert Axelrod as the voice of Lord Zedd and/or Hilary Shepard Turner as Divatox reprise their roles on the series as well.

For the season finale of "Super Ninja Steel", fans are hopeful that a new reunion/team-up special could be made for the show's season finale as either a single episode or a two-episode TV "movie", like "Clash of the Red Rangers" was on "Power Rangers Samurai". If a new team-up is made, we hope the story gives enough screen time for all of the guest stars and we, the fans, hope there will be more character development for the returning guest Rangers as we'd love to know what their characters have been up to since they were last seen on the show. Fans hope that the next reunion could be written by Judd Lynn, who has been involved with the show such as a series writer on such classic "Power Rangers" episode as "Countdown to Destruction" from "Power Rangers In Space", and most recently as the executive producer of "Power Rangers Dino Charge". Fans are also hopeful that Ron Wasserman, who originally did the songs for during the early seasons of "Power Rangers" (such as "Mighty Morphin", "Zeo" and "In Space"), can return to do the music for the next reunion, that a Zord battle with the current and hopefully previous Zords could be featured, and that the show could finally explain if Tommy ended up with Kimberly or Kat. While Tommy was seen married to Kat in the future on the episode "A Season to Remember" of "Power Rangers Zeo", a majority of fans would love/prefer to see Tommy and Kimberly end up as a couple again, as many fans disliked their break up by Kimberly's letter to Tommy on "Power Rangers Zeo".  However, if the show does reveal Tommy's marriage to Kat is a part of the show's canon as the "Zeo" episode intended, some fans would like to see Kimberly and Jason become a couple so that fans of the "Jimberly" fan romance could finally see it included in the show's continuity.

However, again, these are suggestions as to what could be included IF a new reunion gets made, as we are not trying to tell Saban Brands or Nickelodeon what to do with the series as that's not our place. We realize it would be costly to get so many past Rangers back to appear as guest stars for the next season, but we only hope that Saban Brands and Nickelodeon are able to reunite several fan favorite Rangers, villains and other characters and lets some of the original Rangers from various seasons of the series go back to action!
