To date (6 August 2016), the online petition have gathered 1,700 signature online and we would like to thank for your overwhelming support and comment regarding the destructive project by TAED. At the moment, no one know when the coastal reclamation and beach excavation work officially going to start and there is no update on the Special Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report after its Terms of Reference was approved by Environmental Protection Department (EPD) of Sabah. With that in mind, we saw preparation work going on for the destructive activities disregard the EIA consultation process where public concern had voiced about the controversial project which will change the intrinsic and aesthetic value of the beach forever. It is hope that more people can SHARE AND COMMENT THIS PETITION and DISCUSS AMONG EACH OTHER to COME OUT AND SPEAK OUT against the destructive project and call for Tanjung Aru beach to be declare as a city park for public use which many other city has such as the famous Central Park of New York. Tg Aru beach only can be save by the people for the people. No amount of information and fact by experts and amount of calling by environmentalist can change the mind of the Musa Aman administration other that each of us SPEAK and DEMAND to our state representative for their political pressure.
