This petition was delivered to The Hon Stephan Knoll MP, Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Local Government, Minister for Planning on 19 April 2018 by registered post. Read more about that on the petition update "Petition Sent to New Transport Minister with Meeting Request": https://www.change.org/p/sa-minister-for-transport-save-tonsley-station-save-our-access-to-public-transport/u/22653292 On 30 April 2018, his office told me that the package was received and had been forwarded to the Minister's Executive Assistant. Staff reassured me that the MInister's office was aware of the petition and will get back to me in due course. On 25 May 2018, I received an acknowledgment from the Minister's Office dated 22 May 2018. I had hoped to share this news with you earlier but was delayed by health and disability issues. Better late than never but what can I say? I'm 12 days late in telling you this in comparison to this ministerial acknowledgment letter which has arrived almost 5 weeks after receipt of the petition. It reads: "Thank you for your letter dated 16 April 2018, to the Hon Stephen Knoll MP, Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Local Government, Minister for Planning regarding the Flinders Link Project. "Your correspondence is currently under consideration and a response will be provided in due course. "Yours sincerely, "Office Manager to the Minister for Transport, Infrastructures and Local Government, Minister for Planning." For your reference, the contact details in the letterhead are: Minister for Transport, Infrastructures and Local Government, Minister for Planning Roma Mitchell House Adelaide SA 5000 GPO Box 1533 Adelaide SA 5001 DX 171 Tel 08 7109 8430 Email ministerknoll@sa.gov.au I hope this is useful information for you. There is still interest in the community. The petition is still open and any further signatures or comments will be forwarded to Minister Knoll, preferably in person. In fact, the online petition has reached a milestone of 1800 signatures! Not only that, but community members are continuing to add their names personally to the paper petition. You may leave comments or questions here on the Change.org petition page or email savetonsleystation@gmail.com Remember too that there is also a community Facebook campaign with a new Facebook group called "Tonsley Station Friends". More details are on the petition update "New Facebook Group and New Timetable": https://www.change.org/p/sa-minister-for-transport-save-tonsley-station-save-our-access-to-public-transport/u/22694343 or on Facebook itself: https://www.facebook.com/groups/438999896555463/ It is a public group so you do not need to be a member of Facebook to read it. I hope that you are able to add your voice to this campaign whether by email, phone or letter to the Minister for Transport. THANK YOU for supporting the needs of southern Mitchell Park and Tonsley, and especially for equitable access to public transport for all.
