Stop rays being butchered in SA

Stop rays being butchered in SA
Why this petition matters
SA is the home to many beautiful species, many of which are protected. Sadly the Manta Ray does not fall under the protected species which means they can be slaughtered for those wanting a rare small fish on their table. The rays enjoy the warm protected waters of the Gulfs where they can breed and roam freely. Do we really want a Gulf where these beautiful creatures no longer exist? They swim gracefully along the beautiful beaches of Brighton, Seacliff, Henley and the rest of SA. Locals and tourists alike are fascinated by these majestic creatures.
Recently a father Ray was butchered and was found on Brighton Beach, its tail & upper body butchered. Stop the needless capture & slaughter. This is not fishing for food.
Please petition the SA government to protect this beautiful creature that swims peacefully along SA shores.
