Rwanda, Chad and Congo do Not support Israel in the forced displacement of Palestinians

The Issue

Rwanda, Congo and Chad had voted for a ceasefire at the UN General Assembly but now are in negotiations with Israel to take in thousands of residents from the Gaza Strip in exchange of significant aid.

We would like to remind Rwanda, Congo and Chad that the Palestinians have suffered from occupation and blockades for many years now. We the public urge Rwanda, Chad, and Congo not to get involved by aiding Israel in this forced displacement of the Palestinians as they too will become complicit in the Gaza Genocide.

At least 22,185 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza since October 7, 2023, according to the Ministry of Health (MoH) in Gaza, which is the equivalent of more than 1% of the population of Gaza. About 1 in 7 of those killed are said to be women and children.

According to UN OCHA, as of 23 November, more than 1.7 million Palestinians in Gaza are internally displaced, including over one million internally displaced persons (IDPs) staying in various UNRWA-run shelters. We cannot forget that the Occupier, Israel has occupied Palestine for 75 years through intense violence against the Palestinian men,  women and children; not only in Gaza but also in the West Bank.

Palestine is the homeland of the Palestinians and their heritage. Palestinians are very patriotic and love their land. They have the right to live peacefully in their homeland as everyone else in the world.

This will be a forced transfer of Palestinians from their homeland which is against International Law. Apartheid is a crime against humanity punishable under the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.

Rwanda, Congo and Chad you will be held complicit in the current Gaza genocide case which has been invoked by South Africa and supported by Malaysia, Turkey and over 17 other countries. This case is currently at the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
